Simple Green Shake

I love these when I want something super-quick for breakfast or as an afternoon pick-up.

2 cups pure water

handful of baby spinach or other greens,

or 2 tsps favorite green powder (I am using David Wolfe’s Sun Is Shining right now)

1/4 cup maca powder*

1 ripe mango (my favorite but use whatever fruit you have!)

1 or 2 bananas if you want it thick/want more calories – my husband loves these!

Mix in a Vitamix or similar and enjoy!

*Maca is a plant with a radish-like root.  It is a nutricious food, and folklore says it increases stamina, energy, and libido.  The raw powder is the ground root gently dried.  It has a yummy, malty taste that mixes well in smoothies.
